Tō tūranga hou | Your new role

This is a senior portfolio-focused role within the EPMO, where you will lead assurance and support strategic decision-making across a range of complex programmes.
You will work closely with senior leaders, programme managers, and governance groups to ensure projects are aligned to strategic priorities, delivering value, and operating with strong quality and performance standards.

Key areas of focus include:

• Leading portfolio assurance activities across programmes and projects

• Reviewing business cases, delivery plans, and benefits realisation

• Supporting prioritisation and investment decision-making

• Identifying risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement

• Coaching and guiding delivery teams to lift overall performance

This role sits above delivery, focusing on improving outcomes across the wider portfolio rather than managing individual projects.

Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed

• Strong experience across project, programme, or portfolio environments in complex organisations

• Background in PMO, EPMO, or portfolio assurance roles

• Experience reviewing business cases, benefits, and project performance

• Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and governance groups

• Strong understanding of portfolio management, prioritisation, and delivery frameworks

• Experience in public sector or highly structured environments is advantageous
