Senior Project Manager
Calling all infrastructure professionals who have the drive to work on seriously big roading projects.

You will be working for a well-known and well-respected NZ contractor with offices and projects around the country. They have a stable forward workload and are on the lookout for the best civil construction talent to join their high-performing team. This company believes in giving their staff exposure to a range of projects to enable them to diversify and develop their career. Your new role As an experienced project manager with experience in New Zealand, you will have overall responsibility for the quality and financial performance of projects in this area. The role is based in Christchurch but may require some travel within the South Island on occasion. A large part of your role will be getting the best out of your own employees and sub-contractors to deliver profitable outcomes in a timely and safe manner. You will be a natural at forming strong working relationships with stakeholders.

What you’ll need to succeed
- Experience in major infrastructure works at a senior level - in particular within civil engineering / construction
- Project management experience on a project where NZTA/Waka Kotahi were the main client highly advantageous
- Strong people management skills - managing and directing large high performing teams to achieve their best.
- Excellent commercial acumen - ensuring our projects run to cost and are profitable
- Exceptional planning skills - the ability to ensure multiple tasks are running to time across one or more projects.
- Demonstratable experience in dealing with key stakeholders - clients, safety & environment regulators, Iwi groups and more.
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety, ensuring everyone on site goes home safe everyday.
