Our client is a well-established, forward-thinking consultancy with a strong national presence and a reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a diverse range of projects. They are currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Palmerston North Office.

Tō tūranga hou | Your new role

This position is suited to a technically strong and people-focused engineer who enjoys leading projects and mentoring others. You’ll be responsible for managing structural engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring quality outcomes and client satisfaction. Projects are varied and include primarily industrial and processing, along with residential and seismic design and strengthening.

Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed

  • A degree in structural or civil engineering (Washington Accord accredited)
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status in NZ or working towards it
  • 6–8+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering
  • Strong understanding of NZ building codes, standards, and legislation
  • Experience leading project teams and mentoring junior staff
