Tō tūranga hou | Your new role
As the Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, to specification, and to the highest standard of workmanship for their clients.
Your role will include:
- Leading and coordinating subcontractors and site personnel
- Managing site logistics, programme scheduling, and daily workflows
- Ensuring all work complies with health & safety legislation and company procedures
- Overseeing quality control, inspections, and adherence to construction plans
- Conducting site meetings and reporting progress to the Project Manager
- Identifying and resolving on‑site issues to minimise delays
- Managing deliveries, materials, equipment, and site documentation
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and stakeholders as required
- Supporting project planning and contributing to build methodology discussions
- Ensuring the site remains clean, organised, and compliant at all times

Experience & Background
- Proven experience as a Site Manager across commercial projects in the NZ market
- Strong understanding of NZ building codes, compliance, and H&S legislation
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to effectively coordinate multiple subcontractors
- Strong problem‑solving capability and decision‑making under pressure
- Sound programming and short‑term planning ability
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- High level of organisation, attention to detail, and proactive thinking
- Competency with site management software and reporting tools
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive worksite
Qualifications (ideal but not essential)
- Carpentry or trade background or relevant construction qualifications
- Site Safe, First Aid, and supervisory training certificates
