An established and highly recognisable brand in the health and fitness space is looking to appoint an experienced Social Media Manager to lead social strategy and execution across the New Zealand market. This is a hands‑on, creative role suited to someone who lives and breathes social, understands cultural relevance, and knows how to turn insight into engaging, high‑impact content.

Reporting into a senior marketing leader, you will own the end‑to‑end social media strategy and execution, building brand reach, engagement, and distinction across key channels.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and delivery of a world‑class social media and content strategy
- Using social listening and analytics to inform content direction and maximise engagement
- Planning, creating and managing editorial calendars across core social platforms
- Producing, shooting and editing always‑on content for social feeds
- Leveraging cultural and trending moments to drive relevance and brand preference
- Analysing and reporting on social performance and engagement metrics
- Expanding brand presence across emerging channels such as TikTok
- Providing copywriting and editorial support across digital channels including EDMs and web content
- Managing and collaborating with content creators and influencers to drive authentic brand amplification
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure consistent brand execution
Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 5 years + experience in social media
- Proven experience delivering engaging campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok
- Strong content creation capability, including video editing (e.g. Premiere Pro) and photography
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills
- Experience managing creators and influencer partnerships
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Comfort working in fast‑paced, ever‑changing environments
- A natural ability to build relationships and uncover great stories
- An affinity for health, fitness or lifestyle brands (highly regarded)
