Your new role

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join a team in aviation industry company based in Christchurch. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimising and enhancing our software delivery processes, infrastructure, and services. Your expertise in Azure DevOps, ARM, Biceps, and related technologies will contribute to the smooth operation of critical air traffic control systems.

Key responsibilities:

- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to design, implement, and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps

- Work on Azure KeyVault and Privileged Identity Management (PIM) to secure sensitive information and manage access controls.

- Build and manage release pipelines to facilitate automated and consistent software deployments across development, testing, and production environments.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with best practices, compliance, and security standards.

- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying relevant advancements to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our systems.

What you’ll need to succeed

- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on Azure DevOps, ARM, and Biceps.

- Strong understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and services, preferably within Microsoft Azure.

- Familiarity with Azure KeyVault, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and release management concepts.

- Experience in configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.

- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and their integration with DevOps workflows.

- Problem-solving mindset with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or similar are a plus.

  • Form of cooperation: Contract (freelance), initial 3 months’ contract with possibility of extension
