Highly skilled in accounting of receivables, payables, finalisation of accounts, month end accruals, payroll activities, posting of journal entries, budgeting, and cash forecasting. Finance, and Compliance Manager  

  • Ensure accurate and timely end to end processing and reporting of monthly accounts. Liase with operations manager and staff to ensure stock management systems and processes are adhered to.
  • Cash Flow projections upto 3 months out to ensure scheduled payment runs 
  • Responsible for the correctness of stores balance sheet and income statement as well as for cash flow and monthly/quarterly forecast.
  • Annual IRD and companies’ compliances   
  • Preparation of month end closing and onward submission to head office including month end accruals and reconciliation at store and HO level and Consolidate Financial Systems across the Business.
  • General ledger management and reconciliations to improve reporting integrity, Monthly Management reporting.
  • Prepare GST returns and make GST, Provisional and Terminal payments to IRD and liazing with External accountant to finalise the financial statement and file tax returns. 
  • Oversee the payroll function - the weekly payroll function of 1000 employees for 10 stores across Waikato and signing off Maxtel Payrolls 
  • Ensure paying process within according to timeline, by doing follow-up on Purchase Request and Purchase Order creation, approval process and Vendor payments, Review of Creditors for Payment
  • Oversee preparation of debtor’s invoices and monthly billing, reconciliation of digital sales, Eftpos and Mobile eftpos and cash sales 
  • Cashflow monitoring and bank reconciliations. 
  • Review of supplier contracts, Preparation and approval of employment Contracts as required
  • Participate in budget finalisation and cash flow forecast for stores 
  • Maintenance of property portfolio and trust with offshore properties at Gold Coast and Fiji and review and filling of Fiji Vat 
  • Fixed asset register maintenance, including assets, disposals, deprecation and reviewing expenditure for CAPEX.
  • Provide analytic support for the operations teams and Strategy and Finance Team.
