Design Manager/Architectural Designer
2018 – present
* The role of senior designer came up and I was lucky enough to be able to start this job with one other designer and I grew the business to eight designers in total working through a variety of residential housing types such as standalone, duplex, townhouse, and apartment styles over the past five years.
* The work has involved the preparation of presentation and feasibility studies, negotiating with clients over design and budget, contract creation and implementation.
* Overview and weekly management meetings with all stake holders and staff through the various projects underway. Working with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure adequate information and technical support is available for the consent process. Setting up roles and responsibilities for all members of the team, Standard drawing template between Archicad and Revit users within the team. Managing the expectations of the design team through professional development such as LBP qualifications and mentoring others towards registration.
* Established excellent communication with the council through the introduction to the Qualified Partner Scheme which the company is now a member
* Preparation of work schedules, timelines, checklists for pre and post lodgement processes around Resource and Building Consents.
